Data Analysis using SPSS
Thisworkshop is offered at Introductory andAdvanced Levels. The Introductory Level is intended for new learners and aims to provide
them with basic skills in SPSS and preliminary data analysis. The Advanced-Level workshop is designed for people with basic
knowledge of SPSS, statistics and data analysis.
On completion of both levels, learnerswill be able to apply their knowledge of simple andmultiple Linear Regression, interpretMatrix
Plot and Residual Analysis, and build a regression model. They will have the skills to apply statistical procedures such as Binary
Logistic Regression and CompareMeans in general linear ANOVA and ANCOVAmodels, and other designs.
Leadership Skills Development
The course is designed to introduce participants to leadership perspectives and the role communication plays in effective leadership
and management strategies. It explores the concepts, principles and requirements of effective leadership. This course will enable
learners to identify key steps in effective decision-making, appreciate the role of leadership in innovation, formulate ways of building
trust and commitment, and become aware of changemanagement processes.
Project Management
This course will help project managers and project support staff learn how to manage projects resourcefully and effectively by
applying industry best practices. This course will focus on project management core areas, as defined by the Project Management
Institute (PMI). Knowledge areas of the Institute that are taught in the course are: integrationmanagement, scope management, time
management, costmanagement, qualitymanagement, human resourcemanagement, communicationsmanagement, riskmanagement,
procurement management, and logistics.
