Don’t miss annual CSE computing contest 2019!
In December 2018, the Computer Sciecne and Engineering
department launched the CSE Computing Contest 2019. The
contest will be organized for the eleventh time. Last years'
contests have been a great success; participation level was
great, and the department was surprised to see the talent and
abilities demonstrated by most participants. The
Department of Computer Science and Engineering would like to
encourage as many male high school students (Qatari
citizens only) as possible to contribute to this computing
contest.
This computing contest is designed to offer students the
opportunity to interact with each other and demonstrate their
creativity and team-work skills. The contest also provides a
platform for the Department of Computer Science and
Engineering at QU and schools to focus on the growing
market demand for computing professionals (such as
software engineers, system administrators, system
developers, network designers, security consultants,
teachers,
etc.).
As in the previous years, the 2019 contest is based on logic
programming of the sensor inputs of a LEGO-based robot
(LEGO EV3 kits to be used). There is, however, an added
engineering component to be done by the contestants. The
contest will be on robotics-based challenges, and innovative
microcontrollers projects (new). The winning team will be
awarded valuable prizes at an awards ceremony that will
immediately follow the competition.Looking forward for your
participation.
