Data Analysis using SPSS ( Introductory & Advanced Levels)
This workshop is offered at Introductory and Advanced Levels. The Introductory Level is intended for new learners and aims to
provide them with basic skills in SPSS and preliminary data analysis. The Advanced-Level workshop is designed for people
with basic knowledge of SPSS, statistics and data analysis.
On completion of both levels, learners will be able to apply their knowledge of simple and multiple Linear Regression, interpret
Matrix Plot and Residual Analysis, and build a regression model. They will have the skills to apply statistical procedures such
as Binary Logistic Regression and Compare Means in general linear ANOVA and ANCOVA models, and other designs.

This course aims to develop an appreciation of the Sharia compliant financial products and the rational for the prohibition
of Riba (usury) in Sharia compliant financial instruments. The course will look in detail at the financial techniques applied by
Islamic banks with detailed analysis of Islamic asset and fund management and risk sharing concepts (PLS model). Additionally,
this course will examine the Sukuk (bonds) structure.

This course will assist trainees to better appreciate the importance of accounting within their organization and to develop the
ability to understand, interpret and analyze financial statements of public companies. It provides trainees with understanding of
basic tools in financial analysis that would enable decision- making in credit and investment contexts. Key topic areas include
basic accounting terminology, recording of business transactions, financial reporting framework, main financial statements, and
financial ratio analysis.
