Center for AdvancedMaterials (CAM)
The work of the Center for AdvancedMaterials comes under QU’s Office of the Vice President for Research. Since its inception in 2002,
CAM has been providing excellence in the field of material technologies. Withwell-equipped laboratories and experienced expertise, the
Center offers assistance to local oil, gas and processing industries as well as the learning community inQatar.
The mission of the Center is to enhance and support interdisciplinary research on materials science and engineering by conducting
applied research projects and providing knowledge and experience that meet the needs of industry and society.
Continuing education courses offered by CAM include:
• Mesoporous/Macroporous SilicateMaterials Synthesis
• Gas Turbine Basic -Training course
• Concrete training: part i: Design and control of concretemixtures
• Concrete training: part ii: Concrete and admixture technology
