College of Education - National Center for Educator Development (NCED)
The QUNational Centre for Educator Development (NCED) works with the Supreme EducationCouncil (SEC), independent schools (IS),
and international partners to develop and implement Qatar-based comprehensive national educator development programs. Its main
objective is to prepare highly-qualified educators for the independent schools and to conduct research and evaluation projects that lend
information for best teacher practices, policy, leadership and development.
NCED programs include workshop sessions, School Based Support Program (SBSP) and consultancy services to
schoolswheremembers of NCED serveas anadvisory body tohelp the school community achieve specific objectives
or address specific challenges. Continuing education courses offered by theNCED are:

• ClassroomManagement
• Physical Education
• Art Education
• Embedded Learning
• Information Technology
• Designing Achievement Tests
• The development of language skills in early childhood stage.
