Qatar University rmly supports each individual’s process
in their development as well as their progress, prosperity,
and plans. The University works toward forging links with
society through evaluating the needs of institutions and
individuals, and working toward the advancement of
their scienti c and technical capabilities.
The Continuing Education O ce is a link between the
University and society. The O ce identi es and meets the
training needs of society through specialized training
programs, as well as those that prepare individuals for
professional and international certi cation. It enables the
wider community to bene t from the expertise,
experience and resources available at the university.
Since its inception in 1995, the Continuing Education
O ce (CEO) has provided tailor-made continuing
education courses and training workshops, in
cooperation with various QU academic departments and
external partners. For years, these training programs
which are based on actual needs of society, have earned a
highly-regarded reputation that re ects the growing
demand by individuals and institutions for future similar
programs.

Programs and Courses
The Continuing Education O ce prides itself on
developing initiatives that engage its students, faculty,
sta , and professionals in the wider community in
continuing education and career development. Its
mission is to ensure the development and provision of
high quality, non-degree programs that meet society's
existing and emerging educational needs
The O ce provides specialized training courses for
professional and international certi cation which include
Leadership & Management, HR, Finance & Accounting,
Law, IT, languages, and public relations & media. It also
o ers certi cation and education programs such as
International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), Certi ed
Management Accountant (CMA), Certi ed Internal
Auditor (CIA) and Certi ed Public Accountant (CPA).
The O ce also collaborates with QU administrative units
and colleges to develop training programs for specialized
elds. It recently facilitated the establishment of the QU
Initiative on Lifelong Learning (QUILL) to engage human
resources and training managers across sectors in Qatar
in dialogue, information-sharing and decision-making on
strategies for developing skills and competencies
relevant to the needs of the labour market.
