NCED programs include workshop sessions, School Based
Support Program (SBSP) and consultancy services to
schools where members of NCED serve as an advisory
body to help the school community achieve speci c
objectives or address speci c challenges. Continuing
education courses o ered by the NCED are:

• Special Education Program – Level 1

Bilingual teaching of Math and Science
:
Introduces participants to the challenges of teaching and
learning in a multilingual setting. It also provides
participants with an introduction to the speci c linguistic
challenges learners face when learning math and science
at the elementary and secondary levels. The course also
introduces strategies of bilingual math and science
teaching.
Mentoring and Supervision Skills: Seeks to effectively
enhance skills and techniques of mentoring and
supervision of coordinators and academic vice principals
in independent schools to enable them to support
teachers to develop their teaching performance and
competency.

range of continuing education courses to enhance the
professional and personal development of the
community.
College of Pharmacy – Continuing Professional
Pharmacy Development (CPPD)
The CPPD Program of QU College of Pharmacy re ects
the commitment of the College to the continuing
professional development of pharmacists in Qatar. The
goal of the Program is to support the lifelong learning of
all practicing pharmacists to ensure optimal patient care.
The Program achieves its mandate, in part, through the
provision of educational programs that will improve and
expand the competency of pharmacy professionals,
researchers, scientists and allied professionals involved in
pharmacy practice.
College of Education - National Center for
Educator Development (NCED)
The QU National Center for Educator Development
(NCED) works with the Supreme Education Council (SEC),
independent schools (IS), and international partners to
develop and implement Qatar-based comprehensive
national educator development programs. Its main
objective is to prepare highly-quali ed educators for the
independent schools and to conduct research and
evaluation projects that lend information for best teacher
