The Continuing Education O ce also o ers a number of
workshops: Intercultural Intelligence, Data Analysis using
SPSS, and Electronic Archiving.
Intercultural Intelligence
This workshop is designed for learners to develop greater
awareness of intercultural di erences; understand how to
identify intercultural di erences in one’s workplace; work
more e ectively with others from cultures di erent from
one’s own; and value and enjoy understanding cultural
di erences.
Data Analysis using SPSS
This workshop is o ered at Introductory and Advanced
Level. The Introductory Level is intended for new learners
and aims to provide them with basic skills in SPSS and
preliminary data analysis. The Advanced-Level workshop
is designed for people with basic knowledge of SPSS,
statistics and data analysis. On completion of both levels,
learners will be able to apply their knowledge of simple
and multiple Linear Regression, interpret Matrix Plot and
Residual Analysis, and build a regression model. They will
have the skills to apply statistical procedures such as
Binary Logistic Regression and Compare Means in general
linear ANOVA and ANCOVA models, and other designs.
Electronic Archiving
This course helps learners to di erentiate between
conventional and electronic archiving. E-Archive
requirements, features and characteristics and how to
manage a customized e-archival system is addressed in
this course.
