Tra c Signal Design:
Designed to introduce both new and
experienced engineering personnel to the
practice of tra c signal design. State agency
and private sector design supervisors, designers,
and/or prospective designers will bene t from
this short course which covers tra c signal
design principles, concepts, and criteria, and will
provide participants with a basic understanding
of tra c signal design and the overall design
process.
Solid Waste Management:
This course is for civil engineers, environmental
consultants or anyone interested in
environmental issues. The course explains the
processes involved in the management of solid
wastes from waste generation to nal disposal,
and explores e cient management of solid
waste, waste management standards and
legislation.
Waste Water Treatment Technology:
This course is for civil and environmental
engineers. It reviews the various technologies
that are available for use, and are under
development for the treatment of wastewater.
Environmental Impact Assessment and Building
Performance Evaluation: EIA-BPE Tools in
Practice:
Designed for architects, designers, urbanists,
academics, researchers, professionals and
decision makers. Learners are introduced to
building performance evaluation concepts and
techniques and will be trained to conduct
evaluations of buildings and projects. The
course will clarify strengths and weaknesses of
buildings and identify where design adjustments
are needed to support changing practices,
markets, legislation and social trends.
